About Us

Barnabas Workshops was established in 1996 to support job seekers in the London Borough of Redbridge to successfully secure and retain employment.  Today, we support job seekers across East London to achieve their potential by offering a full comprehensive package. Through Barnabas and our extensive partnership network we continue to develop employees' skills through a range of training options :

• Understanding today’s job market,
• Support through the application process,
• Building confidence with presentation skills, assessment processes and winning ways at interviews.

We have grown to build strong links with local employers which enables us to really decipher what employers today expect from their employees and how they interpret them, adding value to their business. We also provide mentoring support to new employees and support small businesses to ensure sustainability. 

We recognise there is not a 'one size fits all', therefore we tailor our support to meet the needs of our clients to ensure they reach their goals and overcome today’s complex barriers.  Flexibility is embedded across all our service delivery and encouraging the development of 'soft skills' is core on the path to employment success. 

Recent projects include Barnabas listening to employers which lead us to developing ‘ESOL for Retail/Customer Service course’ and a ‘What Employers Want’ workshop which centres on candidates who may not have worked previously in the UK.
